“Mimi’s” Quilts Finished by Firehouse Quilts

Updated: Jun 9

Diane I. passed away last year, and her family asked FHQ to complete several quilts she was working on. Cathy D. graciously offered her talents to do the gorgeous quilting on two quilts for the grandchildren who lovingly referred to Diane as their “Mimi.” The quilting had already been started on two quilts, so had to be identical to the patterns already started. A third quilt needed to be completed for Diane’s favorite nurse’s first baby, Carter. Christie M. volunteered to help with the quilt bindings.

All the quilts will be treasured for years to come. The family of Diane has said they “don’t have the words to express the full extent of their gratitude” to FHQ for their help with this project. We are grateful and proud of our volunteers for being compassionate and caring to finish the quilting projects for Diane’s family.
