Many Happy Attendees at Highlands Ranch Therapeutic Recreation Fall Dance

On October 23, Sara V delivered items to be given out at the Therapeutic Recreation Fall Dance. Included in this delivery were 52 quilts, 77 pillowcases, 2 witch's hats, 7 Halloween bags and 4 table runners.

The Therapeutic Recreation Program is designed to enhance the quality of life for individuals with special needs. The program is led by Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists and/or qualified staff to challenge participants, support general independence, choice, and self-confidence. This encourages a sense of health, wellness and an improved quality of life. Participants have access to a variety of activities including group and personal instruction meeting their individual needs, interests and abilities. An Individual Service Plan (ISP) is offered for new enrollees and must be completed before service begins and is updated annually thereafter.
