On November 7th, Firehouse Quilts proudly donated 209 quilts to Brian, a representative of Excalibur Outreach, in support of their incredible Thanksgiving initiatives.
Each year, Excalibur hosts the Great Turkey Gaggle, a community-wide effort where turkeys are collected for families in need. Donations come in from high school football games, fire stations, radio partners, and local city groups. All of this generosity builds toward the week before Thanksgiving, when Excalibur hosts four Turkey Fests along the Front Range.
Since 2017, Excalibur Outreach has been committed to fighting hunger by providing families with a frozen turkey and all the fixings for a complete holiday meal. Their mission is rooted in simple but powerful values: helping the community through giving.
At this year’s Turkey Fests, families can enjoy yard games, kids’ crafts, and plenty of fall festivities. Thanks to our volunteers, Firehouse Quilts is thrilled that our quilts will be handed out at each Fest, bringing warmth, comfort, and a personal touch to the holiday season.
We are grateful for the chance to partner with an organization doing so much good in our community.
