Firehouse Quilts Delivers Holiday Comfort to SECOR Cares

On December 2, Jacque, Christie, Cathy and Karen delivered 40 quilts, 20 pillowcases, 8 afghans, 10 dolly quilts, 15 receiving blankets, 23 burp cloths, 10 fleece blankets, 10 Christmas quilts and 53 stockings to Debbie, Program Manager at SECOR Cares in Parker. SECOR (South East Community Outreach) cares for people facing suburban poverty and runs a food market that serves Arapahoe, Douglas and Elbert counties. The Firehouse Quilts donations will be part of their upcoming Christmas Outreach program that allow parents to pick out gifts for their children. Families will also receive a meal box that includes a gift certificate for a ham or turkey, and older teens will receive a Walmart or Target gift card.
