On December 16, Cathy, Christie, and Jacque delivered 25 quilts—20 of which were Christmas-themed—along with 30 Christmas stockings and 17 Christmas pillowcases to Becky, the Community Resource Manager at Warren Village – Ivy Crossing. These items will be distributed during the annual Holiday Party, where one of the fun activities this year will include building and decorating graham cracker gingerbread houses.
Warren Village at Ivy Crossing is a transformative community in southeast Denver dedicated to empowering low-income, single-parent families on their journey to self-sufficiency. More than just housing, it provides families with essential resources to thrive.
One of those key resources is The Grove (formerly known as Kids Club), a program that offers a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children. While parents work, attend classes, or participate in life-skills programs, up to 24 children—ages 5 to 14 and enrolled in kindergarten or above—meet Monday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Activities include arts and crafts, physical games, and homework help. One craft activity coming up is the Bamboo Rubber Band book.
