On May 2, Jacque, Karen and Gwen delivered 49 quilts, 31 receiving blankets, 16 dolly quilts, burp cloths, bibs, toys and pillowcases to Michelle, the Volunteer and Special Events Manager at Florence Crittenton.
FloCrit is a Denver Public High School that provides the means for teen moms to earn their diplomas and also provides resources that help them balance school and parenting. The campus includes classrooms, an Early Learning Center for babies and toddlers of the students, a health clinic, playgrounds and the Baby Bucks Boutique. The students earn baby bucks in school and then “shop” at the boutique for clothes, books, toys, diapers, wipes, and other items.
The quilts were handed out at a celebration for Mother’s Day on May 6th with a picnic for all the students and their families.
