FIREHOUSE QUILTS

OF COLORADO, INC.

Delivery to CASA Denver

On July 25, Jacque, Sara, Lynn and Karen delivered 48 quilts, 10 receiving blankets, 30 pillowcases, 14 large drawstring bags and 4 stuffed animals to Denver CASA Karen, Executive Director; Mila, Community Engagement Manager; and Justin, Volunteer Coordinator were on hand to receive the donation.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) serves children from newborns to age 21 and helped over 1,000 kids in 2024. Volunteers provide support and advocacy for children who’ve survived trauma, loss, abuse and neglect as they process through the welfare system. Children partnered with a CASA volunteer are less likely to re-enter the foster care system and are more likely to be placed in a stable home.

The Denver office held a Back-to-School event the day after our delivery at Westwood Community Center where backpacks, school supplies, clothes and toys were handed out.
