FIREHOUSE QUILTS

OF COLORADO, INC.

A Special Delivery to Florence Crittenton High School

Firehouse Quilts had the joy of visiting Florence Crittenton High School in Denver, a school dedicated to supporting teen moms and their children. On December 1, Claudia welcomed our team with a wonderful tour, and we were amazed by the incredible work happening on campus.

We delivered a collection of comfort for the students and their little ones, including quilts, Christmas quilts, pillowcases, receiving blankets, hats, stockings, toys, Squishmallows, and more. These handmade gifts will go straight to the young families who need a little extra warmth this season.

Florence Crittenton currently supports 107 students and their children. Students come from as many as 60 zip codes across Colorado, with some girls and their children spending close to two hours on a bus to reach the school. Every student is provided a family advocate. Additionally, the campus provides medical care through Denver Health including dental visits, doctor appointments, and psychiatry or therapy services. The housing office helped more than 20 families find stable housing this year.

A big thank you to Jacque, Dale, Sara, Cathy, and Patti for representing Firehouse Quilts during this visit. It was inspiring to see the dedication of the Florence Crittenton staff and the resilience of these young moms.

Community partnerships like this help us spread warmth and hope where it is needed most.
